The program, which will be held in Dubai from 10 to 15 May 2008, is the first time it will be offered in the region.

The program uses current oil and gas industry examples to examine how management strategies and styles have changed as companies and workforces become more global and diverse.

With dramatic changes currently occurring in the world's economy, environment, politics, and the oil and gas industry, AMP is an important forum for learning and exchange of thoughts for those in the industry.

"The Advanced Management Program for the oil and gas industry has been the one of the most highly rated executive education program in Thunderbirds' portfolio," said Dr. Omar Hefni, president of the University of Dubai.

"It has been our endeavor to bring this program closer to this region, as 70% of the crude oil reserves are in the gulf region."

The Thunderbird faculty team comprises two of the foremost academics in this business, Professors Edgar Barrett and Kannan Ramaswamy, who are focused on global business and have extensive oil and gas industry experience. They bring a rich blend of practical international experience to the curriculum.

Thunderbird School of Global Management, which holds the No. 1 ranking for international business education in the Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times and U.S. News & World Report, is the world's leading provider of globally focused management education program. It is ranked in the top 10 in "Executive Education" for the third year in a row by the Financial Times.

The first program in May will be limited only to 40 participants. Registration will be open till 18 April and participants will be taken on a first-come, first-served bases.
