Batelco Chief Executive to attend UoB Career Day

Batelco Chief Executive Peter Kaliaropoulos will make a presentation to University of Bahrain staff and students at a workshop to be held at the Sakhir campus on March 12, in advance of Career Day which will be held later this month.
Batelco, Bahrain's leading telecommunications operator and one of the major sponsors of education in the Kingdom, is the main sponsor of Career Day which will take place on March 24, 25 and 26, 2008. Batelco is sponsoring the event for the 9th year.
Mr. Kaliaropoulos said that Batelco is delighted once again to support University of Bahrain Career Day.
"The event is instrumental in guiding students on a successful career path and provides the perfect opportunity for them to find out more about careers in the telecommunications industry as well as the wider job market," he said.
"The UoB, in organising events such as this, is helping to build a better future for Bahraini generations to come."
"The youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow. Education, knowledge and sound advice will provide invaluable tools to help them face the challenges that lie ahead," he added.
UoB President Dr. Ebrahim Janahi thanked Batelco for sponsoring Career Day for the 9th year and stressed that the Company's continuous support for the university's activities would greatly benefit the students.
"The continued sponsorship of this event has created a unique relationship between the university and Batelco, which will surely contribute to further boosting mutual co-operation."
Batelco will host a stand at the Career Day event where industry experts will be available to answer questions and give advice based on their years of experience in their respective fields.
