Araby receives overwhelming response at Cairo ICT 2008

The Egyptian audience was amazed by the quality of services offered by Araby.com; visitors had the chance to use the search engine and to live an unparalleled experience where they felt the speed and accuracy of search results.

The exhibition, which was well organized, succeeded to attract more than 100,000 visitors and a prestigious bouquet of exhibitors that reached to 350 media and telecom operators from Egypt and the region, as well as a number of international companies.

Isam Bayazidi, General Manager of Araby.com commented on the exhibition and said: 'We're overwhelmed by the huge number of visitors to our booth, we have distributed more than 20,000 giveaways to our visitors.'

He also added: 'This event was a great opportunity to interact directly with a large audience of Arabic internet users, which helped us in touching their needs and getting their feedback and suggestions.'

During Cairo ICT Forum 2008, Araby revealed its advertising program 'Kalemat Araby', an Arabic contextual advertising module that offers a useful platform for small and large advertisers to promote their services, and at the same time an opportunity for sites owners to generate revenues through introducing ads that match their content.

Bayazidi concluded: 'Kalemat Araby was a point of attraction for potential advertisers and publishers, during the exhibition our team had the chance to pitch couple of advertising companies as well as publishers and bloggers.'
