Over 100 companies to showcase their products at Interiors & Buildex 2008

Interiors & Buildex 2008 - the biggest event in Oman for the building and construction industry -- will be officially opened on March 17 with over 100 companies set to showcase a wide range of products, including building materials, construction equipment and interior furnishings.

"With all leading companies in Oman participating in the event and the presence of many international exhibitors, everything required in any construction activity or renovation work will be on display at Interiors & Buildex 2008," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the main organizer of trade and consumer shows in the sultanate.

The international exhibition, which will run until March 19, will be formally inaugurated on March 17 by His Excellency Maqbool bin Ali bin Sultan, Minister of Commerce and Industry. Interiors & Buildex 2008 will be open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Since it is a trade event, only visitors aged 16 and above will be allowed entry into the exhibition.

The range of products that will be displayed include air-conditioning systems, paint products, heavy equipment, ceramics and tiles, pipes and fittings, bathroom accessories, aluminium extrusions, and cement products.

The visitors, particularly all professionals in Oman's building and construction industry, will also be able to check out a wide range of sanitary wares, interior and exterior finishes, security systems, doors and windows as well as steel products, lighting fixtures, furniture and many other products.

"Interiors & Buildex 2008 will give industry professionals an excellent opportunity to find all their requirements under one roof and to get a close look at new products that are now available or will soon be introduced into the local market," Paul stressed. "Visiting the exhibition will enable them to be updated on the latest developments in the industry."

The major exhibitors from Oman include Al Hashar & Company, Windows 2000, Shanfari & Partners, Muscat Electronics, Oman Marketing & Services Co., Dosteen Trading, Al Maha Ceramics, Malatan Trading & Contracting, Al Turki Enterprises, Abou Nabil, Oman Ceramics Co., Mohammad Riaz & Partner, International Kitchens, Oman Modern Electronics, Business & Trade, North Ocean Enterprises, National Aluminium Products Co., Al Wafaq Enterprises, Gulf Stone Company, Bashair A'Noor United, and Al Ajmi Marble.

In addition to the strong presence of local companies, another major highlight of Interiors & Buildex 2008 will be the Turkish national pavilion made up of over 20 companies that are keen in exploring major opportunities in Oman's vibrant building and construction industry.

There will also international exhibitors from many other countries including Belgium, China Egypt, Germany, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Interiors & Buildex 2008 is supported by Windows 2000 and the Al Hashar Group of Companies as the platinum sponsors.

The gold sponsors are Jotun Paints, Sadolin Paints, and Majid Water Cooler and Air Conditioning Co. LLC, while IQue is the silver sponsor.

The international exhibition is also officially endorsed by UK Trade and Investment, the Oman Society of Engineers, and the Caledonian College of Engineering.

The media partners of the event are Middle East Tenders, the BNC Network, the OER Construction Dossier, Times of Oman, Al Shabiba, and H! Magazine.
