This is in line with its strategy to contribute in the endorsement of civic associations catering to the needs of the different Lebanese social groups, especially youth.

For the occasion, representatives of mtc touch visited Mrs. Wafaa Al Baba, the vice president of Welfare Affairs at the association, as well as other administrative staff members to deliver the computers and attend the opening of the laboratory.

From her end, Corporate Communications and Relations Manager at mtc touch Ghada Barakat commented: 'Our initiative aims at enabling the children at this center with modern equipment which will allow them to improve their skills and widen their knowledge'. She added: 'our responsibility towards the Lebanese society is increasingly growing and we are looking into implementing the proper and convenient programs which can most benefit to the concerned social categories.'

According to Mrs. Al Baba, 'What founds social responsibility is a partnership between four parties: the government, the citizens, the private sector, and the community; each of these component is considered as an indispensable pillar.'

Barakat concluded: 'This year we wanted to focus on the educational sector, being aware of its importance in forming future generations. This initiative marks the beginning of a series of educational programs to be announced during 2008.'
