Phantom Coupe set for Middle East launch

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, March 17 - 2008 at 09:31
  • PRESS RELEASE

Representatives from the nine Rolls-Royce dealerships across the Middle East met in Geneva, Switzerland this week to plan for the launch of the Phantom Coupé in the region.

The meeting was held to coincide with the Geneva motor show, where this latest addition to the Phantom family made its world premiere.

Peter Schoppmann, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars´ Regional Director for the Middle East, said,

"Two years ago we presented the Experimental Car 101EX here in Geneva for the first time, which explored the concept of a two-door Rolls-Royce coupé model. The feedback from the Middle East played a major role in our decision to develop a production version of this car."

This is the fourth model since the launch of Phantom in 2003, following Phantom Extended Wheelbase and Phantom Drophead Coupé.
The Coupé is the most driver-orientated model in the Phantom line. A number of subtle but significant modifications have been made that change its character. It is noticeably more dynamic, whilst still offering incredible levels of comfort.

Production of the new model will begin at the company's manufacturing plant at Goodwood, England in the summer. Deliveries to the Middle East are expected from October 2008, with keen interest from buyers already recorded across the region.
