Constantly adding on to its existing portfolio of exhibitions and events, Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE) leading organizers of trade and consumer events in Oman announced the launch of two new concepts to enhance education; EDUTECH, Education Technology & Services Show and SCHOOLEX, Private, International & Boarding Schools Show.
EDUTECH will be a platform to aid in revolutionizing education and change the way children are taught in the Sultanate of Oman.
The advent of e-commerce, computerized teaching systems, e-learning modules etc has put the world at everyone's fingertips equipping them with knowledge and information, just a click away. In this changing scenario being obsolete in technology would be a disadvantage.
EDUTECH helps bridge this gap by endorsing and supporting the effective integration of cutting edge technology in teaching, learning and knowledge dissemination.
Catering to and targeting primary and secondary education providers SCHOOLEX will bring to the forefront local, private, international and boarding schools and facilitate interaction to personally make parents and students aware of the curriculum, standards, facilities and to engage and enroll students, all on a single platform.
'Though EDUTECH and SCHOOLEX are concepts being introduced for the first time, a lot of research has gone into these concepts and we have a team of professionals working to develop these projects and see them to the finish. Both these areas would cater to the local need and help keep us on par with the world market scenario', said Mr. Sadiq Ahmed Khan, Director-Sales and Marketing, OITE.
Mr. Saif Al Riyami, Sales Executive - Exhibitions at OITE, says 'Though the standard of schooling has improved significantly in Oman we need to ensure that students have access to quality education in line with the requirements of the changing labour market. SCHOOLEX & EDUTECH are two concepts aimed at engaging students' right from the primary level and integrating technology in education, which is vital to establish a strong foundation on which they can build skill sets.'
EDUTECH and SCHOOLEX will be held alongside well established and well known events such as GHEDEX - Gulf Higher Education Exhibition, JOBEX - Omanisation & Job Opportunities Show and TRAINEX - Technology Education and Vocational Training Show.
Two new educational concepts to be introduced by OITE
EDUTECH and SCHOOLEX are scheduled to be held alongside GHEDEX, the Gulf Higher Education Exhibition from 7 - 9 April, 2008 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
