Polar supports mefit 2008 under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya

From the Thursday 27 March 2008 to Saturday 29 March 2008, under the gracious Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai, mefit 2008, will take place at The Aviation Club in Dubai to encourage people to introduce enjoyable exercise into their daily routines in 2008 for a long term, healthier lifestyle.

Exhibiting at the event, Polar, renowned for its motivational features as well as providing inspiration and guidance for exercisers at all levels, will be highlighting the importance of using a Heart Rate Monitor as a training tool to get fit.

As part of an ongoing initiative to improve lifestyles in the local community, a team of Polar experts will be available throughout the event to introduce visitors to the benefit of heart rate based training and exercises. They will present the latest innovations available in Polar heart rate monitors, and demonstrate the use of Polar software and web applications.

Over the three day event visitors will be able to enjoy free gym sessions using the latest equipment on the market and have the chance to try out a Polar heart rate montior under the supervision of a Polar expert.

Group excercise classes will be open to the public from 8:00am to 8:00pm every day including Body Pump, RPM, Body Step, Body Attack and Freestyle classes. Kids will be encouraged to join in FIT CLUB sessions to help educate the younger generation on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and promote fun ways to keep active.

The annual event also offers a Personal Training Summit which aims to educate, inspire and motivate the community as well as fitness professionals. Elite educators and presenters from around the globe will assemble at mefit 2008 to deliver educational presentations and address issues related to the health and fitness industry in the region.
