The Department of Economic Development organised a campaign to raise funds for the wounded and sick people in Palestine.

The DED created a huge chain of Dhs10 currency notes with staff members contributing the money. The campaign supports an initiative by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment (MBRAMCH) for the welfare of the sick in Palestine.

Khalid Al Kassim, Deputy Director General for Planning and Development at DED, said: 'Our contribution to the campaign comes as part of DED's commitment to corporate social responsibility programmes by taking an active part in social and charitable activities - locally and regionally. The success of this initiative highlights the solidarity of DED staff to people who live under conditions of strife.'

Mr. Khalid Al Kassim presented the fund collected to His Excellency Ibrahim Mohammad Bu Melha, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees for MBRAMCH, who praised the DED's initiative and expressed his gratitude to the team for undertaking a successful campaign.
