'The Dubai International Boat Show is always a landmark event for Gulf Craft and a highlight in the maritime calendar. This year was no exception as we saw again record sales and visitors to the Gulf Craft stands.'

'Particularly significant was the degree of interest in the Silver Craft range which we launched this year at the Boat Show. In just two days of its launch more than 100 Silver Craft boats were sold, making it our most successful DIBS debutant. The Silver Craft range has succeeded in tapping into the lucrative leisure market and is on course to be our best seller in 2008,'

said Erwin Bamps, Executive Manager, Gulf Craft.

Another highlight for the local company was the world premiere two new craft in its luxury Majesty Yacht range - the Majesty 77 and the Majesty 121.

The Majesty 77 was well received among visitors with several orders for both yachts already placed during the exhibition.

'Among the most popular models at this year's Boat Show was the luxurious Majesty 121. This reflects our growth and strength in the semi customized super yacht market for which we have a significant market share,' continued Erwin Bamps.

In addition Gulf Craft experienced considerable interest in its revolutionary Oryx 40 Fly and 46 Fly sport cruiser boats launched and displayed at this year's DIBS.

The models are a modern and sporty looking addition to the popular range and have received an enthusiastic welcome from Gulf Craft's younger customer base.

Gulf Craft Inc was once again the most prominent exhibitor at DIBS, exhibiting a total of 17 models during the show a figure that represents the company's growing market share and continued commitment to servicing the maritime needs of the Middle East and international market.

Notes to editors:

Gulf Craft Inc, based in Umm Al Quwain in the United Arab Emirates, exports more than 70 per cent of its output and its super-luxury vessels are to be found in virtually every major harbour of the world.

Although Gulf Craft Inc began life building small pleasure craft, it is now a mainstream producer of multi-deck masterpieces where neither expense nor effort are spared in setting the definitive 'state of the art' standard for ocean-going luxury.

It is one of only a handful capable of producing vessels of 100-ft and over, with sport cruiser annual production of about 700 vessels up to 150 ft overall length.

Since launching its Majesty Yachts brand in 2004 and its Oryx brand in 2005, orders have been pouring in. Its first top-of-the range Majesty 130-footer is delivered to its Australian customer and a 145-footer is now on the drawing boards.
