Dubai Press Club organizes workshop for 'Comprehensive TV Journalist'

Dubai Press Club has announced organizing a workshop for 'comprehensive TV Journalist' in the Club's headquarters in Dubai Media City.
The workshop, which begins on March 8th, aims at the orientation of comprehensive TV journalists capable of preparing TV news reports on their own without any help through mastering cameras and montage according to the latest TV interview techniques by the help of Fadhel Abbas, video journalism trainer.
Maryam bin Fahad, Executive Director of the Dubai Press Club, underlined the success and importance of the previous training workshop. She said that the Club's desire to organize the workshop for more journalists arises from its commitment to provide the latest training programs along with a series of instructive seminars. The workshop aims at developing the media industry as a whole as well as providing journalists with the necessary training in order to improve their capabilities.
Bin Fahad urged UAE journalists to get utmost benefit from the workshop and all the events organized by DPC.
"Dubai Press Club is characterized by distinguished partnerships with Arab and international mass media and with the leading Al Arabiya news channel. The Club is preoccupied with finding the ways to use such partnerships for the best interests of our fellow journalists who are committed to delivering the message in the highest levels of professionalism and credibility," She said. "Knowing how to use highly technological instruments is as important as using all other instruments that facilitate the journalist's mission allowing him to keep up with the various stages of his increasingly developing job."
The workshop lasts for 12 days and will be attended by 15 journalists. A different field will be covered each day practically and theoretically. The workshop will cover different aspects, including general rules of the management of equipment and instruments, setting and using the camera, audio and lighting principles as well as the skills of running a press interview and transmitting the news from the camera to viewers. In addition, the workshop includes shooting, recording news reports and montage.
The training program supports the latest methods of TV work to enable TV journalists to undertake the functions of a complete group consisting of a cameraman, an assistant cameraman, montage technician and a transmitting engineer.
