Emaar offers 20% share dividend

Emaar Properties shareholders have voted for a 20% cash dividend for 2007. Chairman Mohamed Ali Alabbar told shareholders attending its Annual General Meeting that Emaar needed to finance its expansion plans, and rejected calls for a higher dividend payment. A previous 20% cash dividend resulted in Emaar's shares dropping 5% the following day, said Emirates Business 24/7.
