In light of a recent agreement signed between the two entities, Darkom, Jordan's first housing loan insurance company is delivering a workshop to train the employees of the Cairo Amman Bank on housing loan insurance mechanisms.

The workshop, which will take place throughout the month of March, targets employees at all levels of the Cairo Amman Bank branches in the Kingdom. Darkom's General Manager Mr. Waseem Wael Zurub and the company's Technical Advisor Mr. William Patry will chair the workshop proceedings.

The workshop will explore the term "housing loan insurance" with a clear definition and concept of its meaning. The event will also serve to explain Darkom's strategies, products and services along with the operational strategies it adopts in cooperation with banks.

The workshop will also be highlighting the challenges that the real estate sector faces in Jordan along with the difficulties encountered by citizens striving to own their own homes.

To that effect, Darkom's role as a facilitator of affordable housing units for citizens coming from low and medium income earning households will be highlighted. This will be accomplished by facilitating access to long-term housing loans with flexible payment terms that extend up to 30 years.

Commenting on the workshop Mr. Zurub, the General Manager of Darkom said, "We chose to organize this workshop for the employees of the Cairo Amman Bank, to clarify delivering mechanisms for products and services that will facilitate obtaining housing loans as a result of the cooperation amongst our two organizations.

He also added, "We seek to enhance our connections with the banking sector and to enrich our collaborations with them. This workshop gives us an opportunity to expand and spread our operations on the local and regional level."

It is important to note that Darkom recently signed an agreement with Cairo Amman Bank, through which it will give Jordanian citizens, regardless of their socio-economic background, the opportunity to obtain long-term housing loans with competitive interest rates; flexible payment terms, reduced down payments, and reduced monthly installments.
