  • United Arab Emirates: Saturday, March 22 - 2008 at 15:58
  • PRESS RELEASE

Dubai is hosting 4-day management committee meeting of the BestCities that would be attended by the Chief Executive Officers of 8 leading Convention Bureaus from all over the globe from March 23.

Dubai had joined seven other members of BestCities in 2006, the world's first and only convention bureau alliance covering five continents, to get their service standards certified to provide a professionally consistent and a quality-driven service.

BestCities Management holds its meeting every year in a different country and this year Dubai got this honor to host this prestigious international event. The BestCities represent Cape Town, Copenhagen, Dubai, Edinburgh, Melbourne, San Juan, Singapore and Vancouver.

The idea of having a dedicated convention bureau to promote Dubai's meeting, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) was made with the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

The partners in BestCities are the first convention bureaus in the world to certify their services.

The certification will prove to clients that each partner provides a professional, consistent and quality driven service.

The BestCities' vision is to be recognized internationally for being innovative and delivering the world's best convention bureau practices for the meetings industry.
