Zain Saudi Arabia to launch operations in June

Zain Saudi Arabia, Mobile Telecommunications Co's Saudi affiliate, plans to start operations by June this year, reported Reuters. Chief Executive Marwan Al Ahmadi said the company's network would initially only cover 53% of the population, but it will coordinate with rivals Saudi Telecom Co and Etihad Etisalat to provide wider coverage. Zain Saudi Arabia started trading at 22 riyals on its debut on the Riyadh stock exchange.
