A new school for higher learning, which was built on a grant from was built on a grant by the UAE’s late president Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, was inaugurated in Afghanistan on Saturday, according to state-owned Emirates News Agency (Wam). Shaikh Zayed University, which will have a capacity of 3,000 students, is located in Khost province, 200km from the capital Kabul. The university was built at the cost of $4.8m.
