NBK Capital managed this offering on behalf of National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), which was appointed as the only Middle East bank acting as co-manager and underwriter.
This landmark offering is the second largest IPO in the world, and the largest in US history, raising $17.9bn globally from the sale of 406 million Class A shares.
If the underwriters exercise their over-allotment option for an additional 40.6 million shares, the IPO could raise as much as $19.7bn. The offering was priced at $44 per share, above the expected pricing range of $37-$42 per share.
“We are pleased to have played a part in this offering, and, despite significant global demand, to have given our investors the opportunity to participate in this historic IPO,” said Salah Al-Fulaij, CEO of NBK Capital.
