IBQ supports Lebanese executive community

International Bank of Qatar sponsored a prestigious dinner for the Lebanese Community Council-Qatar held at the Lebanese School in Al Dafna as part of its ongoing commitment to support the different expatriate groups in Qatar.

The purpose of the Dinner was to highlight the ongoing developments and challenges in the rapidly growing Qatari economy; it was an ideal opportunity for dialogue, and expression of thoughts between young Lebanese Executive leaders in Qatar's growing Economy.

Among the people that attended was IBQ Managing Director George Nasra, Lebanese Ambassador Hassan Saad, also present was National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) Head of Private Banking Lebanon, Ghassan Siddaoui who was able to help and assist in answering any questions that relate to IBQ providing services in Lebanon to the Lebanese community in Qatar. Lebanese Editor of Nahar Al Shabab Miss Nayla Tueni was the key spokes person of the event.

IBQ Managing Director George Nasra commented that 'At IBQ we are very strong believers that the Young Executive Community is a key element in shaping and developing the future economy. We support the Lebanese Embassy in their attempt at bringing the Lebanese Community together in Qatar, and their goal in helping the Young Business Leaders of Tomorrow'

Miss Nayla Tueini spoke about the importance of the youths' role in shaping the economy's development, she also mentioned that in spite of all the hardship and political problems Lebanon is passing through, the youth have survived this all and learnt not to give up, to keep their flag and their head high.

She also stressed that outside their country it is important for Lebanese to unite together and encourage one another to work harder in proving themselves.

The Lebanese Community is now the largest Arab Community in Qatar with a population of nearly 40,000.

With IBQ focusing on attracting the different expatriate communities in Qatar, sponsoring this dinner provided an ideal platform through which to promote how IBQ's products and services are tailored to make life easier to new comers to the country.

Furthermore IBQ can greatly assist the Lebanese Community in Qatar through its affiliation with National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) who has eleven branches throughout Lebanon. Hence the Lebanese Community can benefit of a first class service not only in Qatar but also in Lebanon.
