The bank's Head of Human Resources Sami Jabbour, was available to provide information and answer questions from eager students regarding IBQ's career development program for Qataris and other internship opportunities.

Our aim is to attract the young, enthusiastic and talented graduate and undergraduate Qatari Students and provide them with career opportunities in the banking sector, hence supporting the country in its nationalization drive. Our Sponsorship of such an important event as the QNA-Q career fair provides the platform from which to identify and recruit such candidates that qualify to become the future financiers and bankers of the country. At IBQ we realize the significance of an educated youth and the important role they play in the development of the country, hence, we are putting education on top of our agenda,

IBQ offers an individualized Qatari Career Development Program that is tailored to the unique interests and skills of each Qatari candidate selected.
The program is designed to provide Secondary school graduates as well as University or College graduates with the critical skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in Banking.
The Qatari Career Development Program includes a customized twelve-month paid internship with six months of job rotation and six months assignment in specific position.
IBQ also offers other training opportunities such as summer training and attending of professional development courses both inside and outside Qatar.
IBQ recognizes that career fairs allows Banks and other companies, to interact not only with students but also with faculty members and teachers, to discuss the labor market requirements, and how can education play a role in servicing these requirement.
