Acer committed to growth of Kuwaiti IT market

Acer, the world's third largest IT vendor, and the region's leading notebook vendor, (source Gartner) reinforced its ongoing commitment to strengthen its unique channel business model to help expand the Kuwaiti IT industry.

In a partner meet held today, Acer executives highlighted the crucial role its channel partner's must play in making Acer's empowering technology and products available to valued customers across the country. Acer is a major player for notebooks and desktops across the region.

"The Kuwaiti IT sector in constantly growing and Acer is keen to help fuel that growth," said Krishna Murthy, Deputy Managing Director Acer Middle East and Africa. "At Acer we understand the demands of a growing market, and empowering our channel partners in order to meet that demands is instrumental for continued success."

"Acer's channel business model encourages partners to be pro-active and, with their valued help, we aim to capture a significant proportion of this growing IT market," added Murthy.

At the meet, senior Acer executives educated the channel partners. New products and Acer's 2008 strategy were also key subjects.

Acer is committed to supporting its channel. The IT vendor's business model has proven very successful, and Acer is determined to keep its partners informed, educated and focused in helping them to grow.

Acer's channel partners applauded the new reward schemes and annual loyalty programme that were introduced for 2008.

Acer executives were on hand to answer and explain Acer's strategy and product line up, on a one-on-one basis.
