MCN Dubai is asking all staff and clients to 'switch off'! MCN's intranet is spreading the word across all the agencies it owns and manages - including Fortune Promoseven, Lowe, Weber Shandwick, Universal Media, Initiative, Innovations, Magna, Promoseven 360 and Mint.

Tom Roychoudhury, Chief Innovations Officer at MCN said "We're asking all our employees to support this. On March 29, we are asking every one to switch off all "non essential" lights between 8pm and 9pm. Dubai's commitment to this cause it terrific, and we appreciate both Dubai Holding and DEWA for leading it".

The MCN agencies will be joining the "switch off" initiative with other major supporters including Dubai Municipality, Dubai International Financial Centre, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai World Trade Centre, Nakheel and Emaar.

Fadi Salameh, President & CEO of MCN added "This isn't just a bit of PR for us.. We are committed to Corporate Responsibility initiatives in a big way. We recently introduced a Green Bin initiative across all our agencies in Dubai so that every piece if paper is re-used or recycled. This is the least we can do for our planet."

Ricarda Ruecker, COO of Lowe said "at Lowe Dubai, we see this is a High Value Idea - this works with our fundamentals as a creative agency out to make a difference. We're asking everyone at Lowe to switch off all non essential lights and do everything possible to save on power during that time."

MCN staff are being encouraged to think green in many ways in a special multi-point program across agencies. Weber Shandwick pioneered the 'green bin', and many more such actionable ideas are being executed across the agency system.
