Etisalat is once again participating in this exhibition to demonstrate its commitment towards Emiratisation, which has played an important role in the development of the Corporate.
Training and Employment Week aims to provide the opportunity for job seekers to know about recruitment options and training programmes available in the UAE.
Abdulaziz Al Sawaleh, Chief Human Resources Officer, Etisalat, said:
'We take great pride in our commitment towards the local human resources in the nation, Etisalat's decision to participate in this event stems from its responsibility and commitment towards society'.
Al Sawaleh also added: 'Etisalat has been able to achieve an Emiratisation percentage that is amongst the highest in the country. Today, UAE nationals hold more than 44% of the total number of positions within Etisalat representing more than 4000 employees, and nationals constitute over 72% at the senior management level'.
Etisalat also provides different training courses with different specializations. The first course is to attract bachelor's degree holders and provide them with 15 months of training within the company.
This course will equip them with more specialized training, and they will be employed based on whether their specialization is managerial or technical.
Other courses focuses on diploma graduates who are trained for one year in different departments of the company, and this course is also held over a shorter time for professionals that have newly joined Etisalat from other companies.
Etisalat has invested in educational initiatives such as Etisalat Academy which provides training courses at international standards.
Etisalat has contributed towards gearing up a generation of telecom specialists, who work today to support expansion and investment plans of the Corporation in sixteen countries across Africa and Asia.
