The increase was based on two grounds, the first as part of the companies’ efforts to help employees handle the increased costs of living in Jordan and the second part of the raise was based on the biannual appraisal procedure for employee's performance – a recently updated procedure that falls in line with the ISO 9001:2000 quality system, acquired by OFFTEC in 2000. The salary adjustment was effective as of January 2008 and was decided based on the companies' strong performance and future outlook.
This initiative materialized during OFFTEC's bi-monthly management meeting which tackles issues related to each department, such as performance updates, challenges and future plans.
Salary increases coincides with many other initiatives taking place at OFFTEC, such as the recent launch of the new corporate identity and the adoption of the 4-perspective Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model, a strategic management communications tool that focuses on Financial Perspective, Customer Perspective, Internal Processes, Learning and Growth, which ultimately result in revolving OFFTEC’s objectives and initiatives around the customer.
