Secure Computing and MCS to host security forum in Egypt to reaffirm support to key customers

The forum aims to familiarise Secure Computing's key customers in Egypt - comprising government departments and banks - about latest application-layer threats and the need for a new generation of multi-layered security that builds on traditional security protocols with inbound and outbound protection.

The three-day event, which will bring together several senior representatives from various government departments and banks in Egypt, will serve as a platform for Secure Computing to reinforce its relationship with channel partners and customers in Egypt, while also complementing its plans of consolidating its regional presence.

The topics that will be covered during the security forum include next generation reputation system for enterprise; seven design requirements for Web 2.0 threat prevention; comprehensive Web protection; security framework and methodology; network gateway security, identity and access management; and image spam.

Secure Computing and MCS plan to make this security forum an annual event, targeting new customers every year and discussing new threats that can affect enterprises.

In recent months, Secure Computing has announced the launch of new initiatives and updated versions of several of its solutions. The company announced the release of Secure SafeWord 2008 (formerly known as SafeWord 2008), a new version of its award-winning two-factor authentication solution. Secure SafeWord 2008 provides highly secure yet cost effective two-factor authentication through user-friendly tokens, protecting access to critical information assets and applications through Citrix applications, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Web applications and Outlook Web Access.

Secure Computing also unveiled its "SWAT" Initiative for protecting organizations from Web 2.0-related threats carried in Web and messaging protocols. The "Secure Web 2.0 Anti-Threat" initiative is an intensive effort to provide corporations with informative research, tools, solutions and best practices vital for companies evaluating-or re-evaluating-their approach to Web and messaging security.
