Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. W.L.L. hand over car fleet to the Qatar Football Association
- Qatar: Wednesday, March 26 - 2008 at 16:17
- PRESS RELEASE
Following the signing of the Exclusive League Partner Package two weeks ago, Abdullah Abdulghani and Bros. Co. W.L.L. (AAB) handed over the keys for 62 cars today to the Qatar Football Association (QFA) for the running of the Qatar Professional Football League.
As an exclusive sponsor in the vehicle category, AAB becomes the first sponsor to activate their sponsorship beyond just logo exposure. Starting the coming 08/09 season and running into the 09/10 season, AAB will also receive tickets for each match and will distribute these tickets for free between their employees, clients, and the general public.
Additionally, AAB will donate cars for sweepstakes during the league, beginning with this year's Emir Cup and Heir Apparent Cup, thus contributing to the entertainment and satisfaction of people living in Qatar, who enjoy football as the most widely played sport in the world.
The co-operation between QFA and AAB is a positive indication of the professionalization of football sponsorship in Qatar, complying to the standards set by AFC for the participation in international competitions. With Qatar acting as hosts to the AFC Cup in 2011, it has spared no expense in lifting the benchmark of sporting standards, particularly in football. Visiting last week, a delegation from the AFC was impressed by the way Qatar was committed to improving sporting standards, and in using sports to showcase the country to the world.
