Saeed Al Muntafiq, Executive Chairman of Tatweer, Joseph Mercurio, Executive Vice President of Boston University and Dr Jeffrey Hutter, Interim Dean of Goldman School of Dental Medicine, attended the ceremony at DHCC along with Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, CEO of DHCC.
Matching global standards and incorporating modern techniques, the 20,000 square feet Boston University Dental Health Center Dubai includes 19 dental chairs and a VIP patient suite. Equipped with the most modern clinical and laboratory equipment, the facility features two radiology rooms with digital radiology X-ray capacity and 10 laboratory stations. Employing a modern electronic patient record system, the center allows dentists to efficiently integrate patients' diagnosis, radiographic exams, and treatment components into dental care.

In addition to the full time faculty members of Boston University comprising professors and specialists addressing the full range of dental care, the center also boasts leaders from the Goldman School of Dental Medicine Boston University. The fly-in faculty includes Dr. Jeffrey Hutter, Senior Associate Dean, Professor and Chairman, Department of Endodontics; Dr. Thomas Van Dyke, Program Director, Department of Periodontology and Oral Biology, Director Clinical Research Center, as well as Dr. Steven Morgano, Program Director of Advanced Education in Prosthodontics.

The comprehensive, multi specialty dental care offered by Boston University Dental Health Center Dubai will be complemented by the recently launched Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education Dubai, which focuses on the pursuit of excellence in postgraduate dental education, research and comprehensive dental services.

Currently located in its temporary premises, the center will move into the Boston University building at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center in DHCC, which is due for completion in 2011.

About DHCCDubai Healthcare City (DHCC) was conceived with the objective of creating a regional center of excellence for medical services, medical education, and life science research and development in the Middle East.
