J. Patrick McGinnis, Carnegie Mellon Business Administration professor said:
“The relationships we build with these organizations complete the circle of education for these young men and women. We are preparing the premier Business Administration, Computer Science and Information Systems graduates in Qatar. Our Professional Day provides an opportunity for Qatar’s leading companies to attract leading graduates to build the future of their organizations'.
At Professional Day, company representatives set up booths and provided information to students about the type of opportunities they have available: both as internships and careers. Students provided their CVs and talked about their skills and desired career paths.
“We came here to look for the best suited candidates,” says Waleed Al Bayyari, relationship manager for Commercial Bank. “These students have the skills we need. We came last year, were impressed with what we saw and took on interns. We came back again this year to meet more top students who are looking for jobs'.
