DAE sells Landmark Aviation unit

United Arab Emirates: Thursday, March 27 - 2008 at 13:53

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has sold Landmark Aviation's Fixed Base Operations business to GTCR, a private equity investment firm, for Dhs1.58bn. DAE bought the company from private equity firm The Carlyle Group last August, but decided to sell it and concentrate efforts on the other parts of Landmark Aviations business. The sale to GTCR includes the Landmark Aviation name, so DAE's business will operate under the Standard Aero brand, which it bought from The Caryle Group at the same time.
