Mercator announces 150th customer with OzJet

Mercator, the IT division of the Emirates Group whose holdings include Emirates Airline and Dnata, has recently signed OzJet to its growing roster of customers. OzJet will be the IT provider's 150th customer.

OzJet represents another new customer for Mercator's passenger check-in system, MACS (Mercator Airport Control System). The airline joins Mercator's distinguished list of MACS customers: Emirates/DNATA, SriLankan, Kuwait Airways, Kenya Aerotech, CIAS of Singapore, and Yemenia. OzJet also represents Mercator's first MACS customer in Australia.

MACS is the Mercator Departure Control System (DCS) hosted from twin data-centres in Dubai, providing a modern check-in and load control system for the world's leading airlines. The MACS system focuses on fulfilling the needs of airports and airlines in the Middle East, East Africa and Indian subcontinent regions. Through Mercator's continuous programme of developments and enhancements, MACS keeps up-to-date with the rapidly changing airport industry, maintaining its position at the cutting edge.

Matthew Payne, OzJet's General Manager of Commercial Operations joined Patrick Naef, Head of Mercator and Divisional Senior Vice President IT, Emirates Group in formalizing the contract at a recent signing ceremony.
