Dubai sets up Licensing Agency

Dubai is setting up a Licensing Agency within the Roads and Transport Authority. Among its roles, it will license and monitor driving institutes and centres and train instructors driving and vehicle and inspectors. The Licensing Agency will be responsible for driving tests and licensing both drivers and vehicles and control the circulation of number plates, including when they come up for public auction. It will also develop and update a database of drivers and vehicles, the issuance of some transport related No Objection Certificates.
