Emarat participates on a high note at the UAE Career Fair 2008

Emirates General Petroleum (Emarat) will participate on a high note at the UAE Career Fair 2008, which is due to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 15 - 17 April, 2008.
According to Mohamed Ahmed Shamis, Manager of Recruitmen and Manpower Planning at Emarat, the objective of the participation is to attract national cadres and engage them in the development march towards success and the current expansion plans at Emarat in various investment areas.
He added that Emarat has committed itself to the process of investing in human capital, especially UAE Nationals.
The Corporation considers these nationals as true assets, who will contribute to the future success of the corporation. He believed that the fair will provide the right platform for Emarat to meet with fresh graduates and university students seeking work opportunities at the corporation or any of its affiliates.
The fair will also provide the right venue to compare organizational capabilities with national skills before joining the corporation.
He asserted that Emarat seriously takes into consideration the responsibility of advancing national human resources.
The corporation provides these cadres with the right incentives to join its ranks in line with federal government objectives and strategy.
The government plan aims at enhancing the role UAE nationals play in the workplace and the community for them to become the best choice for employment in various fields.
This will mainly be achieved through proper education, skills enhancement, and their ability to match the new trends and developments within the local society.
He said that he will be available every day at the Corporation pavilion number Z-C3 in Zabeel Hall with other Emarat officials at Human Resources to welcome new candidates and answer their enquiries.
He and his colleagues will also discuss the various opportunities Emarat can offer these candidates.
The pavilion will be equipped with all facilities that will provide a comfortable environment, where applicants will feel at ease. It will be equipped with computer terminals connected to the web to encourage a paperless environment.
He indicated that special recruitment application forms have been prepared for distribution among candidates looking for a suitable opportunity.
The forms will provide comprehensive information about the corporation, the incentives it provides and the training programs it organizes.
