Tourism Ireland GCC exhibits for the first time at GIBTM 2008

  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 30 - 2008 at 10:49
  • PRESS RELEASE

It is just a week to go before The Gulf Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (GIBTM) commences in Abu Dhabi.

It is indeed expected to be a big one as a lot of major companies in the UAE and all over the world participate as exhibitors in the much anticipated trade show.

GIBTM, which will run from the 8th until the 10th of April 2008 at ADNEC, aims to provide a business platform in the GCC for international and regional venues, hotels, destinations and suppliers to meet with meeting planners, incentive travel buyers and those involved in the MICE industry.

Tourism Ireland, being a company that aims to promote the Emerald Isle as an ideal European destination for leisure and business participates for the first time in GIBTM. It is believed that a trade show such as GIBTM can be a very good avenue to create brand awareness amongst the GCC market.

"Tourism Ireland already exhibits at EIBTM, and with its recent full time representation in the GCC, it is a natural transition for us to exhibit at GIBTM. It is the right fit for us in providing awareness of Ireland as a MICE destination. The exhibition taking place in Abu Dhabi is also an added benefit as Etihad now flies directly from the UAE capital to Dublin,"

commented Aiveen Ryan, Key Account Manager for Tourism Ireland, GCC.

Tourism Ireland will be present along with an exhibiting Irish trade partner, Advantage ICO. Visit us at our stand at the European Pavilion, stand F142.
