For the first time in the region, HSBC Bank Middle East Limited, in cooperation with Families and Friends Society of Persons with Disabilities, organised a training workshop for 13 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who work with physically challenged children in both Government and NGO Centres.
The AHA provides a new perspective of hand function evaluation which is relevant for children with unilateral upper limb disabilities.
Training was conducted by Dr. Lena Krumlinde-Sundholm, an Occupational Therapist and a PhD holder in Pediatric Neuroscience from Sweden who has initiated the development of AHA.
The training lasted for three days and will be followed by a three-month online course in order to obtain certification.
Commenting on this training workshop, HSBC Jordan CEO, Mr. Ray Webber said: "Initiatives such as this are in line with HSBC's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to provide high quality programmes which nurture and enhance positive growth and a productive childhood for physically challenged children in Jordan".
