Dubai offers metro naming rights
United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, April 01 - 2008 at 07:35
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has announced the Dubai Metro Naming Rights Project, which will give companies the opportunity to put their names to 23 stations along the Red and the Green Lines, reported Khaleej Times. Each of the stations will have a unique value, calculated according to their location, anticipated passenger numbers and other factors, said Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA. The metro's Red Line is expected to be operational by September 2009, while the Green Line is planned to start functioning in March 2010. Interested companies can get more information from the RTA website (www.rta.ae).
