Led by Alan Kantrow, Dean of Monitor University, US, the talk was attended by media persons as well as academic representatives.
A senior partner and Chief Content Officer of Monitor Group, a privately-owned global management consulting firm, Kantrow said all universities seeking to establish base in the UAE may not necessarily meet the academic needs of its diverse nationalities. He said the unique multicultural fabric of the country calls for a customised approach to education.
Tracking the trend of institutions setting up campuses in the country, he said international universities must keep in mind the demographic component of the UAE society, prior to drawing up their respective curriculum.
Alan Kantrow praised Dubai Press Club for its initiative to drive stimulating dialogue in education as part of its efforts to identify factors that contribute to the holistic development of the academic sector.
