The Abu Dhabi Fashion Week will witness representations from the elite of the global fashion industry. A significant number of leading regional and international brands, retailers, fashion stylists, hair and make-up technicians, as well as the media have pledged their participation at the inaugural edition of the high visibility event.
Aisha Bin Desmal's collection is an eclectic fusion of colours and contemporary fashion. Her ensemble is supported by embroidery reflecting generous overtones of traditional flavour.
Bin Desmal said: 'The UAE is fast becoming an important fashion centre and the event will entrench Abu Dhabi's status on the global industry calendar. Focusing on recognizing and fostering indigenous as well as global talent, the Abu Dhabi Fashion Week provides me with an opportunity to display my works to a discerning audience and gain wider recognition.'
Starting her design career with a blend of traditional and western touch, Bin Desmal made her mark on the fashion scene with her innovative designs suitable for different occasions. She published her first catalogue while still in high school.
In 1998, Dubai World Trade Centre launched Fashion for Local Designers where Bin Desmal's works received region-wide recognition. Her collection at the Abu Dhabi Fashion Week will be showcased along with top Arab designers including Rabih Kayrouz of Lebanon and Amina Al Jassim of Saudi Arabia.
Bin Desmal's show will open doors at 18.00pm. Top international models will walk the ramp at 19.00pm.
