The Beloveds' Forum is part of a larger scheme being implemented by Dubai Bank, one of the fastest growing ethical and Shari'a-compliant banks in the UAE, in conjunction with the Department of Health and Medical Services, Government of Dubai.

The Beloveds' Forum, which is sponsored by Dubai Bank, consists of three phases in a joint initiative between the Bank and DOHMS that includes recreational programmes for orphaned children supervised by a group of specialists.

With an eye towards guaranteeing involvement and continuity in the programme, DOHMS has enlisted several volunteers from both institutions to participate in this undertaking.

As part of this effort, Dubai Bank will visit the Arabian Peninsula Animal Centre next month with another group of orphans.

The children and volunteers involved in the desert safari trip were thrilled to have gone on this exhilarating and unforgettable off-road adventure, bashing dunes in sturdy 4x4 vehicles, which provided a memorable experience for them.

Driving along rugged routes through the heart of the Arabian desert, the children were able to experience one of Dubai's great attractions enjoyed by tourists, residents and UAE nationals.

Speaking of the event, Mohammed Juma, Head of Corporate Communications at Dubai Bank, said, 'We are very happy that Dubai Bank and its employees were able to participate in this desert safari trip with this wonderful group of children. As an ethical and Shari'a-compliant institution, we are committed to upholding ethical values and contributing to the societies in which we operate. This belief is our benchmark for making a difference in the lives of others as part of our business ethic'.

In addition to recreational programmes, the Beloveds' Forum initiative includes a number of social development programmes supervised by volunteers from both Dubai Bank and the DOHMS.

These programmes are bound to provide an enriching experience not only for the people so supported, but also for the volunteers.

Earlier this year, Dubai Bank employees from Al Buhaira branch visited the Sharjah Autism Centre, while another group of Dubai Bank employees recently took other orphans on a recreational outing to the Mall of the Emirates.

Such events form part of the Bank's dedication to improving the lives of the community through a commitment to the ideals of corporate social responsibility.
