The Crown Princess is the eldest child of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and Her Majesty Queen Silvia and is heir to the Swedish throne.
In preparation for her royal responsibilities, the Crown Princess studied extensively at Yale University in the United States, where she also completed work experience at the United Nations and the Swedish Embassy.
In addition, the Crown Princess has studied political science, history, foreign languages, conflict resolution and international peace-building.
She also completed a work experience programme in Swedish agriculture and forestry, as well as basic military training at the Swedish Armed Forces International Centre.
The Crown Princess has travelled extensively throughout the world as part of her studies and her official engagements.
The Crown Princess was in the UAE to inaugurate 'Networks of Innovation,' the travelling exhibition on the life of Alfred Nobel. While in the Emirates, the Crown Princess agreed to spend time with ADWC students to discuss education in the UAE.
During the visit, the Crown Princess met with ADWC's Director, Dr. Brad Cook, and with various students to talk about their lives in the UAE and their education at ADWC.
The Crown Princess also re-lived her own student experience by having lunch with the students in the cafeteria. The Crown Princess then toured the campus and joined students in the classrooms to watch the use of technology in the learning process.
During the visit, ADWC's Applied Media students interviewed the Crown Princess and asked questions about her life, her education and her duties as royal heir to the Swedish throne. The Crown Princess asked the students about their education, including the subjects they studied and their plans for the future.
At the end of the visit, the students told the Crown Princess they were honored that she chose to visit the ADWC campus and to spend time speaking with them about their lives and their education.
The Crown Princess expressed her happiness in meeting the students and spending time with them to discuss life and learning in the UAE.

The Higher Colleges of Technology's Abu Dhabi Women's College hosted Her Royal Highness Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, on Monday, 31st March, on the ADWC campus.
