The event co-sponsored by Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department and The Student Activities Department of the Ministry of Education, was attended by Major General, Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director, DNRD, Dr. Fawzeya Badri, Acting Executive Director for Educational Affairs, Ministry of Education, a number of consulates and parents of the participating children.
H.H. Sheikh Majid toured the gallery which showcases paintings by the winners of the competition, distributed to three categories according to the following age ranges, 6-8, 9-11, and 12-16 years old.
Then H.H. handed the gold, silver and bronze trophies to three winners of each category and an innovation award to the youngest participant.
The contest saw more than 1173 participants from various nationalities present artistically and with abundant creativity their outlook of the multicultural society in Dubai and the UAE.
The paintings will be displayed at the Chinese court at Ibn Batuta Mall for three days.
Major general Al Marri expressed his deep gratitude for H.H. Sheikh Majid who honored the winners as part of his ongoing support for all initiatives that convey Dubai's multicultural role and its support for the pioneering activities and initiatives that strengthen the educational and cultural exchange among all residents in UAE.
Al Marri also stressed the importance of strategic cooperation between all government departments and ministries especially with such initiatives that aim to develop the young generation's capabilities, reflecting the vision of H.H. Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
DNRD and Ministry of Education announce the winners of 'Emirates International Student Creativity Contest'
His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority inaugurated yesterday an exhibition by the winners of the Third International Student Creativity Contest, at the Chinese court in Ibn Battouta Mall, Dubai.
