Ministry of Social Affairs and Etisalat host 'Freedom Workship 'for people with special needs

The Ministry of the social affair's in cooperation with Etisalat, held a Freedom presentation/workshop in the presence of more than 40 special need social centers from across the UAE and many special need people.
H.E. Wafa Hamed Bin Sulaiman Director of the Department for People with Special Needs, stated that Etisalat has a long history of being associated with helping people with special needs and has taken remarkable steps in this respect. "Etisalat efforts and initiatives with that aim to help people with special needs are a well -known fact in the country" she said.
Mahra Al Tamimi, CSR Manager, Etisalat said: "Etisalat is committed to connect with the community at large and to offer services that help fulfill their potential. People with special needs have some different requirements that others within the community, as such, Etisalat has enhanced and developed technologies that will aid them in communicating with the community in an easier and more convenient manner".
Etisalat offers a 'Freedom Package' which is designed for qualified special need institutions.
The freedom package include services as 3.5G Mobile Data Packages, GSM Fax and data ,Push to Talk, BlackBerry, Web Fax, SMS Broadcasting, 800 toll free services, 500 Data services, Business One, Web Hosting, and ISDN.
The 'Freedom Package' for individuals is a great help to special needs people in the UAE.
Its most valued services include applications which are especially useful for people with special needs such as Push to Talk, Mobile MMS & SMS, fixd SMS, 3.5G Mobile Data, 3G Video/Voice Calls, and Location Based Services, BlackBerry, Push mail, Email Reader, Fixe-line, and Al Shamil broadband.
In March H.E. Mariam Al-Rumi, Minister of Social Affairs, awarded Etisalat for its support of Dubai International Rehabilitation Forum - REHAB Dubai 2008.
Etisalat has continuously supported people with special needs and has demonstrated this by participating in events and activities such as Dubai Centre for Special Needs- Phone System, Holy Quran in Braill, Wedding Ceremony for Special Needs People, Sponsorship of Deaf Week.
