The announcement was made on the sidelines of Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2008, the Middle East's leading education fair, which runs until 5 April at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Registering an annual growth of 15% in the number of companies based at the regional hub for human resources development (HRD), training and consultancy, Dubai Knowledge Village has successfully attracted prominent names such as Morgan International, IRCA Middle East, Academic Solutions, and RICS International Limited.
Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director of Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City, said: 'As part of its mission to grow into a vital centre for learning and excellence, Dubai Knowledge Village has begun to play a key role in shaping the human resource strategies of the UAE and the region. By providing the necessary infrastructure and support to training, HRD and consultancy companies, we aim to help raise the bar in human resource practices, while contributing to Dubai's strategic mission of building a holistic knowledge-based economy.'

The number of human resources development companies went up by 10 per cent, and training establishments by 15 per cent, while consultancy companies grew by 40 per cent over 2006.'

Currently in its 20th edition, Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2008 is organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, and is supported by Dubai Knowledge Village.
