World-class reception in Egypt to mark the merge of AWB with NBK Group

A host of key business and economy leaders and decision makers in Egypt were received as extraordinary guests at a special reception party hosted by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) on the Nile riverbank on the occasion of announcing commencement of the bank's activities in Egypt and the merge of Al Watany Bank of Egypt (AWB) with NBK Group.
In his welcoming speech, NBK's Vice Chairman Nasser Musaed Al Sayer said he was extremely satisfied for having the opportunity to enter the Egyptian market through AWB, adding that NBK will hopefully contribute to the enhancement of the multi-faceted bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in addition to being able to providing the best banking services to our clients in the largest and most important market in the Arab world.
Al Sayer reiterated that NBK Group will spare no effort in utilizing its substantial capabilities, expertise and resources to provide AWB with the necessary support means it might require to achieve further advancement and success on the long run.
For his part, AWB Managing Director, Dr. Yasser Ismail Hassan expressed his gratitude for the successful merger of AWB with the NBK Group, adding that this merger will hopefully contribute to accelerating the momentum of the Egyptian economy growth and enhance the economic bilateral relations between Kuwait and Egypt.
It worth mentioning that NBK stands out in Kuwait and among Arab banks in terms of its local and international network, which includes branches, subsidiaries and representative offices in Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrai, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, in addition to London, New York, Paris, Geneva, Singapore, Vietnam and China.
