Urban DIY painting studio brings home decoration to Dubai's Arabian home show
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, April 06 - 2008 at 11:56
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai residents are being given the opportunity to channel their 'inner artist' when visionary local art gallery and painting studio The Jam Jar sets up its live painting studio at the UAE's only Arabian home show, Al Bayt Al Arabie, this month.
In addition to its signature DIY studio, there will be a display of international and regional artwork pre-selected by The Jam Jar's art directors available for sale or the option to commission a piece of work as part of The Jam Jar's new art consulting division - a complete one-stop solution in sourcing any kind of art, framing, and sculptures for spaces such as residences and offices.
Deepa Bhatia, Art Consultant of The Jam Jar, said: "Art as paintings can complement and enhance interior design in all environments. The innovative use of art can provide stunning focal points and harmonize with the interiors so that one can enjoy the enrichment that living with art offers."
The Jam Jar will be one of many varied art décor stores taking part in Al Bayt Al Arabie at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 23-26 April 2008, however, it will be the only exhibitor encouraging visitors to get hands on and creatively express themselves and take their art home.
The Jam Jar is a contemporary art gallery, showing off the emerging talents and skills of local and international artists. Combined with the studio, they aim to make art accessible and bring together a community of art-minded individuals.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to make something that fits their home perfectly, as they are the only ones who truly know what will work. By creating your own painting, you not only decorate your home, but you contribute your own personal touch," said Daphne Cota, Exhibition Manager, Al Bayt Al Arabie.
Al Bayt Al Arabie will also feature a dedicated art area, named 'The Gallery' which will feature a range of works by local and international artists, all available to purchase at the exhibition.
A Feng Shui expert will be taking part in the exhibition to offer consultation and advise how to arrange your house in order to allow the optimal relationship between space, objects and energy, producing positive emotions at home.
Al Bayt Al Arabie will run alongside The Bride Show Dubai and Women's Healthcare, making the exhibition a tour de force for women in the UAE who enjoy fashion, luxury and good living in one place.
All three exhibitions will be open daily from 2.30pm - 10.30pm. Entry fee is 10dhs per person per day.
