The company registered a big increase in sales, which grew by about 45% as compared to the previous year with its Telecom and IT businesses consolidating the hold on the market and maintaining the company's leadership position.

Anil Mahajan, Head - Business Development, CGC, said, "By all account, 2007 proved to be a significant year in which we set milestones and scaled new heights. Our excellence and commitment were reflected in our performance in different business domains. While on the project side, we expanded into new areas and are now successfully executing large contracts in SAP, DMS, IP Surveillance, WiMAX, Voice and Data Networking, etc., our TETRA and Enterprise Solution Units remained among the key contributors last year. We did over 150 contracts only in these two business units.

It gives me satisfaction to state that the company is fairly loaded with the projects and has works for next four years in hand.

On their premier Nokia business, Mahajan said,

"Our Nokia division registered an exponential growth last year with average quantity sales up by 55% compared to the pervious year. Besides adding a brand new Nokia office, we are now operating from 12 Nokia signature outlets. On the way, we appointed more Nokia dealer partners including Virgin, Video Home and Carrefour's two more branches. In people's benefit, we also ran several mega promotions in association with our valued partners - Qtel, Emirates Airlines, Commercialbank, etc. Our high quality services and excellent performance enabled us to win the Best Nokia Distributor Award in entire MEA region consecutively for 2006-07. At the same time, we managed to further increase investment in our all business divisions and operations through additional financial investment in new facilities, human resources and equipments".

He added that as a technology leader, CGC kept momentum delivering best possible services and quality products in as diversified sectors as Telecom, IT and oil and gas infrastructures development. Keeping pace with increasing demand, CGC concentrated on developing and strengthening business verticals within the company as per market needs. Its cohesive and synergized approach produced great results enabling CGC to focus on customers' requirements in a much better way.

Mahajan further stated, "Last year also, we continued our strong relationship with renowned technology players and added some more top-notch companies as our partners including Siemens, Sepura, Satyam, Huwaei, Bentley, Airspan, Rohde and Swartz to name a few. These initiatives facilitated in providing innovative and latest solutions to our clients as per their local needs, thus stretching further our long and prestigious list of valued clients, including MoI, MoE, MoJ, UPDA, Qtel, Kahrama, Qafac, Olympic Committee, QP, QatarGas, RasGas, QNB, UDC, ADCC, Bilfinger, Oryx GTL and several other government, local as well as multinational companies.
