Qtel to weed out SMS spams

Qatar Telecom (Qtel) said it is introducing new firewalls on its network to screen out offending SMS' and spam on mobile phones, reported The Peninsula. Unsolicited calls and SMS are claimed to mostly coming from outside the country, associated with scams and unwanted advertising.
