This is in line with the Group's endeavour to recruit young Emirati talent in several positions across its wide portfolio of companies.
Deeply rooted in the UAE, Al-Futtaim Group has relentlessly worked towards supporting and promoting the Emiratisation programme. The Group's participation in Careers UAE 2008 is part of its vision to significantly increase the recruitment and integration of Emiratis to work in a world-class organisation that partners with some of the world's best brands.
Al-Futtaim Group regularly recruits enthusiastic and talented young UAE nationals and seeks to advance their careers from the outset. It also actively supports the progression of Emiratis already working at the company through training and mentorship.
The Emiritisation Department of the Group, called 'Rawafid' currently organises and participates in various activities and events such as Summer School, Recruitment Open Days, Work Placement and Career Counseling at various colleges in the UAE.
'Careers UAE 2008 is the ideal platform for the Al-Futtaim Group to represent its various businesses and scope of operations whilst giving young Emiratis the opportunity to make their mark in the professional world,' said Fatma Al-Haddad, manager, Emiritisation Department.
With businesses including Automotive, Electronics, Retail, Marketing Communications, Travel, Logistics, Insurance, Industry, Real Estate and Property Development the Group looks forward to meeting with over 5000 UAE Nationals.
As done every year, in addition to having representatives from Al-Futtaim Group's Training and Development Centre, young UAE Nationals will also have the opportunity to interact with Emiratis currently employed with the Group. This will give young Emiratis first hand feedback on the Group, its work culture and the overall working experience.
Additionally, representatives from Dubai Festival City, Al-Futtaim Group's unrivalled, mega mixed use urban development will also be available at the Al-Futtaim Group stand. Dubai Festival City is the Middle East's largest, privately funded mixed-use real estate development.
'Our Emiratisation programme and participation in Careers UAE 2008 is part of Al-Futtaim Group's corporate social responsibility to UAE Nationals,' said Fatma. 'We are confident that this career fair will be mutually beneficial for the UAE Nationals, the country and the Group.'
The three-day event will be held from April 15-17 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The exhibition is organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre, in conjunction with TANMIA, Ministry of Labour, Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP), Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University.
