W Whatever/Whenever - Your wish is their command

When the W Doha opens its doors in mid 2008, it will redefine the standards of hospitality and service in Qatar.
"Whatever/Whenever is much more than just a department," says Stephanie Wilson, Whatever/Whenever Manager at the W, "It extends to every employee of the W, it's our culture, our philosophy. It's what we live by".
And it isn't just lip service either. Every W Hotel around the world has a dedicated Whatever/Whenever department to deal with guests' requests 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Wishes range from the routine to the completely extravagant.
"One guest at the W New York wanted to throw his best friend a memorable bachelor party, and he enlisted the help of the Whatever/Whenever department," recalls Ms. Wilson. "They arranged a surprise jet set birthday party from New York to South Beach with 12 friends - a private jet, in-flight entertainment, transportation in both cities and reservations at one of South Beach's hottest restaurants. That's how far we're willing to go!"
According to another account, a German guest at the W Chicago needed an important presentation translated in a hurry, and there wasn't time to send it out for professional help.
Fortunately for him, one of the hotel's Whatever/Whenever agents was fluent in both languages, and he worked with the guest for three hours to get the presentation just right.
The next day, the guest sent the entire Whatever/Whenever staff flowers as a token of thanks.
In yet another inspiring Whatever/Whenever story, a guest checked into W Sydney with her young son, who it turned out had a love of fast cars.
The concierge at the time was friends with a local Maserati dealer, and he arranged for the boy to go on a drive around town with the friend in the latest, fastest Maserati! "Whatever it takes to make you happy, whenever you like it - that's the W credo," says Ms. Wilson. "Once W Doha is open, guests and residents of the city can look forward to the same level of service from us here in Qatar".
Having achieved strong global positioning as 'the hotel for the young & the young at heart', the W brand is all set to make a grand entrance in the Middle East with the W Doha Hotel & Residences.
When ready, W Doha will feature 291 guest rooms & suites, 154 W Residences, meeting & event space and luxury retail space.
The W Hotel will occupy the lower 15 floors of the stylish new building in West Bay, while floors 16 through 29 will be home to the luxury serviced apartments of the W Residences, complete with its own exclusive private entrance.
Guests and residents will be able to take advantage of exclusive W facilities such as the BLISS Spa and WET pool as well as the W's concept restaurants Market by Jean-Georges and Spice Market, a poolside outdoor Shisha lounge "Wahm" and a variety of cafes and lounges.
Known for its stylish, high-energy interiors, affinity for technology and great customer service, W made international hotel history with its Whatever/Whenever mantra when the concept was first introduced.
"The hotel industry is all about service, about that special touch that we add that creates memories and unforgettable W experiences," shared Ms. Wilson, "So we've made it a practice to hire only the finest talent, and to inspire and encourage them to give their all in serving the hotel's guests".
Taking the concept even further, W has created the position of the W Insider, who will know the hotel and the city of Doha inside out, ensuring that guests are welcomed, wowed and delighted whenever the step into the living room (lobby).
The insider will work closely with the Whatever/Whenever department to ensure that guests' needs and requests are met and exceeded, and to deliver the Wow! experience to every individual guest of the hotel.
