Sheikh Mayed Bin Mohammed Youth Media Award Voter Prizes raised from Dhs25, 000 to 250, 000

In response to the high levels of participation in the Sheikh Mayed Bin Mohammed Youth Media Award, and following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mayed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Organizing Committee has increased the value of the awards for public participants in the competition.

The public will be given an opportunity to vote for the top three winners in print and broadcast media through text messages.

Of the total number of people who vote, 25 will be randomly selected to win Dhs10,000 for a total of Dhs250,000.

In a comment on the initiative, Khadija al Marzouqi General Manager of Shoof TV and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Award, said:

"The Sheikh Mayed Media Award has already seen a high volume of participation in a short period of time. His Highness has raised the awards levels to increase motivation for the public to participate in nurturing the next generation of media in this country".


Contestants will be awarded prizes in the print, radio and visual media categories. The best 15 works in each category, selected by an prominent jury panel, will be featured in the local media.
