Jordinvest holds workshops on the Jordinvest Shariah compliant MENA Fund

The workshop was held concurrently with the launch of the initial investment (subscription) period, which will be concluded during the first week of May.

The workshop was held by Mr. Ahmad Tantash, Jordinvest's Chairman and CEO, Jordinvest's Senior Management, and Dr. Ali Sawwa, representing "Al-Mutamanoon", which offers training on Shariah principles pertinent to investments. The event was attended by a number of interested investors.

The aim of these events is to highlight the main aspects related to Shariah-compliant investments as well as Jordinvest's success in managing different investment funds in the Jordanian market and regionally.

Mr. Tantash discussed the financial aspects related to the management of such funds and expressed his great pleasure with the workshop given the importance of Shariah-compliant investments in particular.

He called for efforts to develop these investments and raise awareness of their benefits and indicated that he was quite optimistic about the expected performance of the Fund for 2008.

For his part, Dr. Sawwa discussed the Islamic concepts and principles underlying these investments in light of the growing interest in Shariah-compliant investments at the level of the Arab and Islamic world and globally.
