Al Rabie participates in Medical Therapy symposium to commemorate World Health Day 2008

Al Rabie Saudi Foods Co. Ltd., a leading producer of dairy products and juices in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the largest juice manufacturer in the Middle East, has announced that it has recently participated in the Medical Nutrition Therapy Symposium at King Faisal Specialist Hospital as part of a series of activities to commemorate World Health Day 2008.
The symposium covered different aspects of common infections in childhood and provide important updates in the field. Significant topics were discussed such as, vaccinations, antibiotics, chest infections including TB (Tuberculosis), Cardiac related infections and other topics on general infectious diseases.
"Al Rabie has always been committed to participate in community-oriented activities, particularly those that concern public health such as the World Health Day. As part of our planned activities to celebrate the occasion, we conducted educational seminars and participated in the symposium at King Faisal Specialist Hospital to increase awareness about healthy beverages and foods," said Monther Al Harthi, General Manager, Al Rabie.

World Health Day 2008, being held on April 7th 2008, has been organised with the theme "Protecting health from climate change", the event seeks to raise global awareness of a health issue of public importance and aims to stimulate commitment and action from governments, international organisations, donors, businesses and communities to educate the public on growing health concerns. As one of the region's leading producers of nutritious juice and dairy products, Al Rabie has been a driving force in regional efforts to protect public health and has been one of the leading patrons of regional activities related to the World Health Day.
